FASEB Partners with Signals to Strengthen Research Integrity Across Its Journals

Following a successful trial, FASEB is rolling out Signals Manuscript Checks to evaluate all journal submissions. The tool provides automated and transparent analyses of manuscripts, enabling FASEB’s editorial team to efficiently and accurately identify potential issues. It also provides access to Sleuth AI, Signals’ AI-powered research integrity assistant, which enables interactive exploration of manuscripts and helps identify subtle integrity concerns in seconds.

FASEB’s journals are leaders in biology and biomedical sciences. The partnership with Signals ensures that its publications continue to meet the highest standards of quality and integrity. By quickly identifying research integrity risks, Signals Manuscript Checks empowers the editorial team to focus their efforts on research that advances science.

“At FASEB we are dedicated to publishing high-quality research,” says Chad McCormick, PhD, Associate Director of Publications Research Integrity. “With support from Signals, we continue our commitment to research integrity by implementing tools that help to ensure a robust scholarly record. FASEB has a clear working knowledge of the trust indicators provided by Signals and is able to readily apply these markers to our peer review decision processes. Signals is already identifying potential issues in submitted manuscripts and providing editors with actionable insight.”

Elliott Lumb, co-founder of Signals: “We’re pleased to support FASEB in maintaining the quality and integrity of their journals. The FASEB team has been highly engaged throughout the trial, providing key feedback. We look forward to working with them through 2026 and beyond.”
